Coody FAQs

Quick answers to the questions people ask most — setup, weather performance, sizing, care tips, and what to expect from your Coody tent before your next trip.

Coody tents use inflatable air beams (instead of poles) to form the structure, so setup is mostly “roll out, inflate, stake.” The PVC frame is designed for stability, and the tents use waterproof fabric plus a rain fly for weather protection.

Most setups take about 7–15 minutes depending on tent size and the pump you use. You attach the pump to the inflation valve, inflate until firm, then stake and guy out the tent.

Inflate the frame until it’s fully firm and do not exceed 8 PSI. In colder temps, Coody recommends inflating to about 7 PSI and topping up a bit if needed (cold can reduce pressure slightly).

They’re built with weather-resistant materials and a PVC frame for wind stability, and they include a rain fly for added rain/snow protection. Many models use a breathable cotton-blend fabric to help reduce condensation, and some designs support cold-weather/hot-tent use with stove jack options.

Yes — some models (like the Familia series) can use a fabric partition to divide the interior into two rooms, which can help with privacy, organization, and temperature/airflow control.

Coody inflatable tents are designed primarily for car camping — roomy and sturdy rather than ultralight. Each tent comes with a carry bag for transport and storage once deflated.

After each trip, wipe off dust/mud and clean spots with mild soap and water using a soft sponge/brush, then rinse. The big rule is to dry it completely before packing for storage (set it up or hang it in a ventilated area), and store it somewhere dry to prevent mold/mildew. Also avoid sharp objects, chemicals/flammables, and try not to leave it in continuous direct UV for long periods — use the rainfly when needed.

Many Coody tents use modular, multi-layer window/door panels so you can swap between mesh (airflow/bug protection), clear TPU (light + visibility while blocking wind/rain), and fabric (privacy + extra insulation). You can mix-and-match layers depending on weather and how much light/air you want.
